As a ghostwriter, I pen nonfiction books and personal memoirs for businesses and private clients alike. I can produce your "How to Succeed in Business," or "How I Climbed Mount Everest," or "The Secrets to Time Management" book to your specifications. Whether you seek to gain the attention of a major publishing house or intend to self publish, a book "written by you" is a testimony to your expertise in any field. Your book gives you bragging rights and encourages your clients to share your interesting story and unique viewpoint with friends. It is simply invaluable for increasing word-of-mouth business and for disseminating ideas. People are usually surprised at how very easy it is to simply talk out their stories and have me rewrite it into something conversational, informative, or suspenseful, as the case may be. I work closely with clients, exchanging edits frequently and adjusting for the desired voice and tone throughout the work. In addition to books, I also write professional material such as brochures, business articles, and powerpoint presentations.
As a features writer, I specialize in food, fashion, and music articles. I efficiently track down that expert quote, that ideal interview, and that in-depth background information that makes a magazine story come alive, then write the story in my characteristic conversational, inclusive style. Solid grammar and well-researched information characterize my features stories.I have been published extensively in Local Flavor magazine as well as Mother Earth News, the Journal Santa Fe, and The Santa Fe New Mexican. I have also contributed to history books Oakland, City of Light, and Walnut Creek: the First Hundred Years, and written extensive real estate copy as an associate editor for Christie's Great Estates luxury real estate magazine. If you click on the topics under "published work" over there on the left, you can enjoy some of my published features articles.
Local Flavor recently won the 2008 AIGA New Mexico Showdown award for one of my restaurant articles, Luminaria. The award, from the American Institute of Graphic Arts, lauds the article's "sophisticated and edgy" design. Along with Luminaria, my articles From this Day Forward, La Montanita, Talent Search, and Follow Your Passion are featured on SantaFe.com.
As a humorist, I publish a dating column, "Romancing the 'Fe," in Santa Fe's Local Flavor magazine. In it, I explore unusual dating ideas in Santa Fe, "the city different." To tourists the world over, this town is known for destination restaurants, premier art galleries, and traditional southwestern architecture, but for those of us who live here, we know that it can be hard to come up with new ideas for going out. So, taking on the persona of intrepid reporter, Ruby Peru, I explore new and interesting ways to ignite love's flame. Whether it is a romantic waterfall hike, a Jemez Springs overnight, or a gallery-hopping adventure by pedi-cab, Ruby Peru takes you there, then rates the date for first-timers and for established couples.
As a fiction writer, I am currently polishing a sophisticated young adult novel in the style of "magical realism" about three nutty women, a loyal dog, and some animals that can turn into men, although they don't really want to. I have been published in Slightly West literary review and publish short stories about true romance and erotica online at Romantic4ever.com and Weddingnight.com. Link to some of those stories here:

As a blogger, I publish a literary blog of sorts. It's a kind of thing where you may encounter short short stories about my daily exploits or general musings on the odd philosophical quandary. Occasional cooking tips, perhaps. Enjoy it. Respond to it. I look forward to hearing from you. Check it out under "blog" over there on the left.
